Poletna noč
Marjana Deržaj

Poletna noč,
bila je najin dom,
vse stene iz dreves
za strop nebo,

Summer night,
It was our home,
The walls from trees
The sky for a ceiling,

preproge iz travnih bilk
zvezd nebroj za luč,
brez strehe brez zidov
mladim je toplo!

Carpets of straw,
Countless stars for light,
Without roof without walls
Youth is warm

Poletna noč
ljubezni spev, šepet,
sij čustev, žar strasti,
vse mine, vse.

  Summer night,
Love song, whispers,
Emotion's glow, the heat of passions,
It all passes on, all of it,

Ostane pest spoznanj
in prgišče sanj,
spominov sto,
za stare dni.

  A fistful of recollections remain
And a handful of dreams,
A hundred memories,
For later days

Pridi kdaj pome,
z ognjem v očeh,
bova ljubila se vso noč
pridi kdaj, po nasmeh in poljub.

Come for me sometimes,
With fire in your eyes,
We will make love all night,
Come sometime, for a smile and a kiss,

Vsak zase zdaj
živiva, srečna sva,
samo na videz kdaj,
kot vsi ljudje.

Each one on our own now
We live, we are happy,
Just in appearance sometimes,
As everyone else is

Mlada kot prej
ne bova več
vse dam vse dam,
za eno noč!

Young as we once were
We won't be again
I'd give everything, everything
For just one night!

Pridi kdaj pome,
z ognjem v očeh,
bova ljubila se vso noč
pridi kdaj, po nasmeh in poljub.

Come for me sometimes,
With fire in your eyes,
We will make love all night,
Come sometime, for a smile and kiss,

Vsak zase zdaj
živiva, srečna sva,
samo na videz kdaj,
kot vsi ljudje.

Each of us on our own now,
We live, we are happy,
Just in appearance sometimes,
As all people are

Mlada kot prej
ne bova več
vse dam vse dam,
za eno noč!

Young as we once were
We won't be again
I'd give everything,
I'd give everything
For one night!

Za eno noč,
poletno noč!

For just one night,
Summer night!
