Ernest
and Julio Gallo have told us for many years, "We
sell no wine before its time." Life treats
us much the same way. We are attached to
making it quickly. We want everything
right now. We make plans and schedule what
we want and how it will come. When things
do not go our way, we consider it a failure.
No matter how hard you push or insist or demand,
everything happens when it is supposed to
happen; everything comes in time. We
really are not in control of the universe; it is
much bigger than we are. Our ego tells us
to take control of our time, but what we really
do is create confusion and stress. We
cannot rush our victory; we cannot cut
short our pains. Everything happens when
it needs to happen; everyone is always where
they need to be. You will never miss out
on what is meant for you, even if it has to come
to you in a roundabout way. When we relax
and follow our inner guidance, everything we
should have is all that we get. When we
rush around trying to make it, disappointment
may be all we get.
